All workshops on site, at Brauer College, Caramut Road, Warrnambool. Please attend 15 minutes prior to commencement to register and prepare for workshop.

Payment is by either money order or cheque made out to Active Minds. Cash accepted in person only. Please do not send cash via post *Workshops may be added/deleted according to demand. Participants will be notified at end of registration period as to their acceptance. Tea & coffee will be provided for the parents/teachers.

CELTIC ART

The art of creative lettering with nib & ink with Celtic inspiration.  To use for card creation, school projects,
letter writing and more. Students can do as simple or as intricate design as they wish.

CLAYMATION

An exciting combination of animation and clay modelling to create a movie, just like ‘Chicken run’ and Harvey Krumpet”. Make the clay come to life. Please bring a CD if you wish to save your work to take home.

DEBATING

Public speaking is a skill for life that can help you through schooling & later in life. Debating is a further key skill that involves using your voice, working as a team, being organised & having good listening skills. Many schools
offer debating as part of their program and having prior knowledge about it can largely advantage you.

Students will produce an animated movie using the powerful web tool Macromedia Flash this pixar style movie will havesound and interactive capabilities.

INTRODUCTION TO FORENSIC SCIENCE

A basic introduction to the amazing world of Forensic science! A round robin of experiments to captivate and enthral you.

MATHS CHALLENGE

PRESENTER- MARK O’SULLIVAN 

Maths is marvellous! Problem solving with and without technology. Use computers & calculators to solve challenging maths problems. – (It will be a different session to last year so that students can come again.)

SIGN LANGUAGE

Students will learn basic sign to communicate with the Deaf and their friends. A wonderful skill and a second language.

WEB DESIGN

PRESENTER- RYAN JENNINGS

Show different types of websites e.g. Graphics based, E-commerce, Flash etc. and discuss different types of applications used for designing websites. Discuss website hosting, show trace route. Servers, Internet connectivity for servers. Show layout of common website. Begin website design 1 Page only in Front Page.
